Hello, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Catherine O'Leary and I've been lucky enough to be offered a spot on the Credit Unions Kids at Heart Team to run the Boston Marathon this April. Yes, I am asking for donations. Any amount is appreciated and makes a difference. All donations (meaning 100% of them!) are donated; no operating expenses are withheld by CU Kids at Heart. This means that all projects that are funded—including research on pediatric brain cancer, Moyamoya disease, Sturge-Weber Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and pediatric epilepsy—benefit directly from all funds raised. Again, any amount makes a difference
I will be running to support research at Boston Children's Hospital and its research affiliates, in support of all the patients there including a lovely young girl named Maddy. Maddy was diagnosed with meningitis at 10 weeks old, and has beaten almost all the odds thus day. She, and all of the patients at Boston Children's Hospital, benefit from each and every dollar raised.
Being a mother myself, raising money that will be donated to support continued research at Boston Children's Hospital is something I feel very strongly about. It is important for research to continue in order to support all children who receive care at Boston Children's Hospital. It can take months, even years, to find cures and treatments for these kids. The funds raised give hope to both these children and their families.
Your donation makes a difference! There's no doubt about it.
